Celcom prepaid and postpaid users take note. There will be a disruption in some of its services from May 20 (8am) to May 21 (6am) due to works on upgrading its billing system.
Services that will be temporarily unavailable from May 20 (8am) to May 21 (6am) include bill payment, online customer service, Celcom Online Store and Mobile Apps, SIM card replacement and other value added services.
During this period, new line activation for prepaid accounts can only be done at Celcom and its authorised outlets.
On May 21 from 4am to 6am, Celcom postpaid customers will not be able to receive in-coming calls and SMS for a maximum of 15 minutes during the upgrading, while those who are using roaming services will not be able to receive in-coming calls and SMS for four hours between 4am to 8am Malaysian time.
The upgrading activity may affect all Celcom postpaid and prepaid customers who registered before Jan 29, 2018 and have not performed change of bill plans after Jan 29, 2018. It will not affect subscribers who registered after that including those using GB Share Plan and Celcom Business Plans (Business S/M/L).
Celcom Axiata posted on its website that the upgrade will enable the consolidation of its multiple billing systems into a single converged system. This in turn will help Celcom to provide real-time charges, credit control services and help customers better manage their subscriptions.
Those registering their postpaid line or requesting Mobile Number Portability will be able to do so although all requests will only be processed from 6am on May 21 onwards.
