Try managing your photo collection by GPS location – Tech News

If you allow your smartphone or camera to access GPS data when you take pictures, this will make it easier to organise and categorise your photos later.

The location data is convenient for creating travel diaries or for documenting city breaks. You can also use the data within image editing programmes to display all of the photos shot in a certain location.

Most smartphone photo gallery apps allow you to organise your photos by location and put them in a specific folder.

Of course, there can be occasions when you don’t want to make public the location a photo was taken in. If the GPS data has been recorded within the photo’s EXIF record, then you’ll need to remove it using a program such as Exifer (Windows) or GraphicConverter (Mac). – dpa
