SARKIES’ sumptuous Wine and Dine Buffet Dinner is a lip-smacking smorgasbord of savouries, seafood, sweets and sizzle.

Crowds continue to flock to the restaurant of Eastern and Oriental (E&O) Hotel to enjoy what is touted as the best buffet in the George Town area of Penang.

Available daily from 7pm to 10.30pm, its diverse flavours cater to many palates while the sheer number of items will outmatch most appetites.

Menus rotate every day, buttypically include selections of salads, cold cuts, crackers, sushi rolls, cheeses, breads and morefor starters.

But most regulars will first raid the seafood-on-ice section for its bounty of prawns, green mussels, yabbies, spanner crabs, scallops, oysters and sashimi.

Meat and seafood sizzle away at the grill station. Available items vary daily, but may include salmon, prawns, mackerel, squid, lamb chops, beef steaks, satay and sausages.

Be sure to have your share of the succulent carvery offerings such as Roast Beef, Roast Lamb with Herbs, Roasted Whole Chicken with Spices, and the signature E&O Roasted Duck.

Around a dozen hot dishes await inside serving trays. Flavours are both Western and Oriental, with possibilities ranging from Lamb Stew to Chili Crabs.

Elsewhere, a pasta station has chefs cooking up al-dente goodness with a variety of sauces, while an Asian noodle station offers local equivalents.

Cakes, puddings, ais kacang, a chocolate fountain and severalflavours of ice cream ensure a sweet and decadent end to the night of wining and dining.

The buffet is priced at RM139.20 for adults and RM69.60 forchildren. Diners have the option of topping up RM99.50 for free flow of wines and beers.

Sarkies also serves Executive Buffet Lunch from Monday to Friday, tagged at RM84.80 (adults) and RM42.35 (kids), with a streamlined but equally tasty lineup.

For Saturday and Sunday, the Weekend Buffet Luncheon at RM91.75 (adults) and RM45.90 (kids) has treats for all in the family.

All lunches are served from noon to 2.30pm and come with free flow of selected beverages.

Starting Dec 1, E&O Hotel will offer takeaways of Christmas Turkey, Prime Roast Beef and Oven Roasted Lamb Leg with advance order of three days.

Yuletide goodies will be readily available.
